Circle of Friends 2018
THANK YOU for making this a SOLD OUT event!
To place your name on our stand-by list, call (231) 929-4250.
At the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center, we imagine a community where all children are protected; a place as safe as it is beautiful; a home where business, civic and private leaders share our vision of a World Without Abuse.
Each fall, over 300 community leaders gather to support this vision at our annual Circle of Friends Luncheon. This event helps us to connect with the people who can influence change and raise about 20% of our annual budget.
This year’s event will be co-emceed by area comedian and magician BEN WHITING and Northern Michigan media celebrity CHRISTAL FROST. Additionally, TBCAC and Parallel 45 Theatre (P45) are partnering to present a unique program at this year’s luncheon event. With an original script developed by TBCAC staff and brought to life by P45, we will break away from the traditional speaker-based format, and instead use the power of art to communicate the crucial mission and work of the CAC. P45’s performance-based communication of the TBCAC mission through multiple monologues and theatrical gesture will directly support the important work the TBCAC does in investigating and preventing crimes against children.
The TBCAC and P45 are grateful to a leading Circle of Friends program sponsor, the Begonia Charitable Foundation, which works with established organizations to support artists and their families, improve the lives of children, and promote financial independence.
As a person who cares about the health and well-being of this community, we hope you’ll consider joining us. By purchasing an event sponsorship or hosting a table, you expand the circle of support for our most vulnerable residents.
Please note that this year we are offering all sponsors and table hosts a chance to provide Team Zero sexual abuse training for your employees, associates and friends at no charge. As general awareness of this issue grows, this is an important next step in creating a culture that does not tolerate child sexual abuse.
We’d love to welcome you to our Circle of Friends, a group of caring individuals who are committed to creating A World Without Abuse. For more information, contact Karen Simpson, Event Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Peg Asmus, Event Committee, email@example.com.
